Maintenance Technician (Oil & Gas)

The Maintenance Technician for the Oil & Gas sector plays a critical role in ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of equipment used in petrol stations and related facilities. This position at Al Tamimi Group Qatar is designed for individuals who possess strong technical skills and have a profound understanding of various maintenance processes. With a focus on equipment upkeep, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance, the effective technician will ensure safety standards are met while enhancing the performance and reliability of equipment. The technician will work independently, applying analytical thinking to resolve any mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation issues it faces in daily operations. This role requires a minimum of five years of hands-on experience, primarily dealing with GILBARCO products and similar petrol station equipment.
Responsibilities

Conduct regular maintenance checks on petrol station equipment, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues with devices such as dispensers, submersible pumps, and turbine pumps.
Implement preventive maintenance procedures to reduce equipment downtime and enhance longevity.
Perform necessary repairs and replace faulty components swiftly to minimize operational disruptions.
Monitor the functionality of gauging systems and leak detection systems, ensuring accuracy and safety compliance.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including reports on equipment status, completed repairs, and any parts replaced.
Collaborate with suppliers and service providers to acquire spare parts and technical support when needed.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures during maintenance operations to create a secure working environment.
Assist in training other personnel on the proper use and maintenance of equipment as needed.
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure high-quality maintenance services.
