The Social Mobilizers/ Hygiene Promoters will support in implementation of comprehensive sanitation up-scaling project through the Pakistan Approaches to Total Sanitation (PATS) in two target Social Mobilization Units at the TMAs Haripur & Mansehra. They will mainly assist in soft activities (SBC campaigns, hygiene sessions, social mobilization & menstrual health & hygiene interventions) under PATS approach.   

Tasks & Deliverables for Social Mobilisers:

  • Village identification & village profiling.
  • Meeting with stakeholders of the villages for rapport building. 
  • Triggering of villages by application of PRA tools.
  • Identification & Training of CRPs (Male & Females).  
  • Facilitate formation & strengthening of WASH committees and WASH clubs in the schools falling in the prioritized districts.
  • Reporting progress and quality of works from field activities and follow up on the corrective measures
  • To assist in preparation and maintenance of a data base related to disease data from HCFs, ODF data and Menstrual Health and Hygiene activities in Project area.
  • Assist in identifying best practice case studies, lessons learned from Project area particularly HIS related to girls and women
  • Ensure/ facilitate the field formation in achieving the Open defication free status of the communities/ villages.
  • Assist/ support in interventions that focuses on the sustainability of the ODF status.

Education: A university degree (Bachelors) in the field of public health, social sciences, behavior change communication, environmental science, or another relevant technical field

Experience/Skills:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant and professional work experience in the field of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) Projects. 
  • Relevant experience in sanitation up-scaling & MHH would be given preference.
  • Practical working experience in water, sanitation and hygiene promotion and social behavioural change communication (SBCC). 

Language Requirements: Fluency in English, Pashto and Urdu is required.
