Health Tech Academy, a US-based startup under EdTech Ventures, is looking for a dedicated Career Services Advisor to join their team in Karachi, Pakistan. This full-time position operates from 6 pm to 3 am Pakistan time to align with US working hours. The Academy provides affordable and flexible online healthcare training that combines hands-on and virtual learning, supported by expert instructors. The Career Services Advisor will be instrumental in guiding students through their job search process, ensuring they are well-prepared for successful careers in the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized career guidance and mentorship to students, helping them make informed decisions about their healthcare career paths.
- Collaborate with coaches to integrate specialized healthcare sector knowledge into student coaching sessions.
- Assist students in crafting effective resumes and cover letters tailored to healthcare industry standards.
- Support students in developing and optimizing professional online profiles to enhance their visibility to potential employers.
- Educate students on healthcare industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Address and resolve any career-related challenges or concerns students face during their training.
- Motivate and encourage students to stay engaged and committed to their career objectives.
- Work closely with the product team to assist with daily operational tasks.
- Respond promptly to student inquiries via calls, chats, and emails related to coursework and career services.
- Maintain accurate records of all career services interactions and activities.
- Conduct ongoing research on healthcare job market trends to provide up-to-date career advice.
- Provide interview coaching and conduct mock interviews to prepare students for real job interviews.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive repository of career resources, including templates, guides, and job search tools.
- Collect and analyze student feedback to continuously enhance career services.
- Analyze career-related data to identify trends and recommend improvements based on insights.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in career counseling and job placement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- 2-3 years of experience in student support, customer service, or technical support roles.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex issues and complaints effectively.
- Demonstrated passion for career services and supporting others’ success.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.

Compensation and Work Environment
This is a full-time, in-person role based in Karachi, with working hours aligned to US time zones (6 pm to 3 am Pakistan time). The monthly salary range is Rs140,000 to Rs150,000.
