We are seeking a highly skilled IBM Cloud Engineer to join our team and take charge of designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure on IBM Cloud. The ideal candidate will focus on optimizing cloud environments, automating deployments, ensuring security and compliance, and supporting hybrid cloud integrations. Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, and maintain IBM Cloud environments, covering Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
- Automate cloud deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and IBM Cloud Schematics.
- Ensure cloud environments comply with security best practices, governance policies, and industry standards.
- Monitor cloud performance and scale resources efficiently to meet evolving business requirements.
- Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies to maintain business continuity.
- Configure IBM Cloud networking components, including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Direct Link, Load Balancers, Firewalls, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues to ensure high availability and resilience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, document cloud architectures, and provide technical guidance and support.
- Optimize IBM Cloud resource usage to reduce costs while maintaining performance and reliability.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in cloud engineering, preferably with IBM Cloud.
- Proficiency in IBM Cloud services and infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and IBM Cloud Schematics.
- Strong knowledge of IBM Cloud networking technologies, including VPCs, VPNs, Direct Link, Load Balancers, and Firewalls.
- Experience working with IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service (IKS) and OpenShift platforms.
- Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Operations Center (SOC) practices, encryption, and cloud security best practices.
- Familiarity with IBM Cloud monitoring tools such as Instana, Prometheus, Grafana, and LogDNA.
- Skills in cloud operating system administration and troubleshooting.
- Ability to automate tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
