Survey Engineer – Net Metering

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Survey Engineer to support our net metering projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting site surveys, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with net metering standards and regulations. This role is crucial for accurately assessing solar power installations for net metering approvals and coordinating with relevant authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed site surveys to assess solar power systems for net metering applications.
Prepare comprehensive reports, including technical drawings and documentation, to support net metering applications.
Ensure compliance with all net metering regulations and standards set by utility companies.
Coordinate and manage documentation and agreements with DISCOs (Distribution Companies).
Liaise with utility companies and relevant authorities to ensure smooth processing of net metering applications.
Stay updated on the latest net metering policies and regulations.
Assist in troubleshooting any site-related issues or discrepancies during the survey and installation process.

Skills Required:

Strong understanding of net metering regulations, standards, and processes.
Proficiency in preparing and managing net metering documentation.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail during site surveys and report preparation.
Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with utility companies and other stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Problem-solving mindset with a hands-on approach to addressing site challenges.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in conducting site surveys for net metering applications.
Familiarity with net metering processes, including working with DISCOs.
A background in renewable energy or electrical engineering is a plus.
Proficiency in relevant surveying tools and software.
