Database Analyst

Join Experian as an experienced Business Intelligence Developer and apply your expertise in BI tools and data analysis to create impactful, client-facing reports and solutions. In this role, you will work both independently and collaboratively to resolve data issues, write complex SQL and Python code, and support data visualization efforts using platforms like Sigma and Tableau. You will engage with cross-functional teams, contribute to Agile projects, and provide production support in a fast-paced environment, helping to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop standardized client-facing reports utilizing Business Intelligence tools such as Sigma and Tableau.
- Conduct data profiling on source data, often working with limited documentation.
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies independently and perform detailed data analyses.
- Write secure, stable, maintainable, and testable Python code with minimal defects.
- Perform root cause analysis, propose solutions, and take ownership of issue resolution.
- Create and maintain report specifications and process documentation for data deliverables.
- Write queries to extract, summarize, and analyze data from various datasets and platforms.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to identify and leverage new data sources within the environment.
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to achieve project goals and deliver cross-functional reporting solutions.
- Manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving workloads in a dynamic setting.
- Provide on-call production support as required.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Business Intelligence visualization development and support.
- At least 2 years of experience in Sigma report development and support.
- Minimum of 2 years of Python programming experience.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with business partners and technical teams.
- At least 3 years of experience working within an Agile environment.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Tableau Server administration.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Management Information Systems (MIS), Engineering, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience with AWS data ecosystem components such as Redshift and S3 (minimum 3 years).
- Familiarity with Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow (MWAA) and Business Objects is advantageous.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and develop innovative solutions.
