We are seeking a skilled API Developer with expertise in VB.NET, MVC, and SQL Server to design, develop, and maintain high-performance APIs for our applications. The ideal candidate should have experience working with RESTful services, database management, and application architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize APIs using VB.NET and MVC frameworks.Design and implement secure and scalable RESTful APIs.
- Work with SQL Server, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs with web and mobile applications.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve API-related issues.
- Ensure code quality, security, and best practices in API development.
- Document API specifications, endpoints, and usage guidelines.
- Work with third-party APIs and integrate external services when needed.
- Participate in code reviews and improve development workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in VB.NET and ASP.NET MVC.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, indexing, performance tuning).
- Familiarity with authentication methods (OAuth, JWT, API keys, etc.).
- Knowledge of error handling, logging, and debugging techniques.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Understanding of software development best practices.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.).
- Knowledge of Microservices Architecture.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
