We are looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Intern to join our team on-site and assist in growing our business on Upwork. If you're passionate about business development, client acquisition, and learning about the freelancing ecosystem, this is a great opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

As a Business Development Intern, you will be responsible for researching and identifying potential clients, creating and submitting proposals, and engaging with prospects to help drive business growth on Upwork. You will work closely with our team to build long-term client relationships, understand client needs, and contribute to the overall success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Research: Identify potential clients and relevant projects on Upwork by researching job postings that align with our services.
  • Proposal Writing & Submission: Create compelling and tailored proposals for potential clients and submit them to selected job listings.
  • Client Communication: Engage with prospective clients, understand their requirements, and respond to queries in a professional manner.
  • Market & Competitor Analysis: Conduct research on market trends and analyze competitor bids to ensure our proposals are competitive and unique.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Monitor the success of submitted proposals, track feedback, and collaborate with the team to refine strategies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside the team to align proposals with our service offerings and ensure they meet client expectations.

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to craft customized, persuasive proposals.
  • Familiarity with the Upwork platform and the freelancing landscape is a plus.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to identify new opportunities.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Positive attitude, eager to learn, and comfortable in a fast-paced work setting.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience with Upwork or other freelancing platforms is a plus.
  • A background in sales, marketing, or business development is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of tech, design, or digital services is a plus, but not mandatory.
