Key Responsibilities:
CMS Development: Develop, customize, and maintain the CMS e-commerce platforms. Ensure that it is user-friendly and meets the business requirements.
Integration: Integrate the CMS with other e-commerce systems and third-party plugins or applications, such as payment gateways, inventory management, and analytics tools.
Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the CMS for speed, responsiveness, and scalability to enhance the user experience.
SEO: Collaborate with the SEO team to implement SEO best practices within the CMS, including metadata, structured data, and URL structure.
User Training: Provide training and support to clients to effectively use the CMS for content updates and publishing.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve CMS-related issues, bugs, and errors promptly to minimize disruptions to the e-commerce platform.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of CMS configurations, customizations, and workflows.
Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to e-commerce and CMS development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in e-commerce CMS development, with a focus on platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, Big-commerce or similar.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Familiarity with CMS extensions, plugins, and modules.
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Adherence to security and compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in CMS development or e-commerce platforms.
- Experience with headless CMS solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud computing services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
