At DHC Construction, the Risk Management professional plays a crucial role in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating potential risks that could impact our operations and projects. This position requires a seasoned expert with a minimum of 10 years of experience in risk assessment and management practices within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in data analysis, financial acumen, and familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and software. As the leader of a dedicated risk management team of 8 professionals, you will be responsible for guiding the team, fostering a culture of risk awareness, and ensuring that best practices are followed throughout all stages of the project lifecycle. Your strategic vision and analytical mindset will help DHC Construction maintain its reputation for excellence by proactively managing risks and protecting our assets, resources, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities

  • Lead the risk management team in identifying, assessing, and prioritizing potential risks associated with construction projects.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk management policies and procedures to ensure effective risk identification and mitigation.
  • Utilize risk assessment methodologies and data analysis techniques to evaluate risks and provide actionable insights to the organization.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to integrate risk management practices into project planning and execution.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to monitor the effectiveness of risk management strategies and ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and present detailed risk reports to senior management, highlighting key risks, recommendations, and mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain and enhance risk management software and tools to support ongoing risk assessment activities.
  • Foster a risk-aware culture by providing training and support to team members and relevant personnel on risk management practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in risk management to continually improve organizational processes and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison with external stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment with risk management policies.
