Supervise and guide nursing students in clinical settings (hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, etc.).
Demonstrate and teach proper nursing skills, including patient assessments, medication administration, wound care, and documentation.
Provide one-on-one or group instruction to students, reinforcing nursing theory with practical application.
Create and implement learning activities and clinical scenarios to enhance students' skills and knowledge.
Evaluate students’ clinical performance through direct observation, assessment tools, and feedback.
Assess students' ability to make critical decisions, prioritize patient care, and perform nursing tasks.
Provide regular feedback to students regarding their strengths and areas for improvement.
Complete written evaluations and reports for students as required by the nursing program.
Act as a mentor and role model for students, fostering professional behaviors and ethical nursing practice.
Provide emotional support and guidance to students in dealing with the stress and challenges of clinical practice.
Encourage reflective practice, critical thinking, and problem-solving in nursing care.
Collaborate with other faculty members, clinical staff, and healthcare providers to ensure students receive comprehensive and diverse clinical experiences.
Communicate with faculty members to discuss student progress, concerns, and overall development.
Participate in departmental and institutional meetings, workshops, and faculty development programs.
Assist students in developing time management and organizational skills.
Offer guidance on professional development, including strategies for building confidence and competence in nursing practice.
Monitor student progress and intervene early in cases of academic or clinical difficulties, working with academic advisors and support services as needed.
