System Administrator

As a System Administrator at EFU Life Assurance Ltd., you play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the organization's IT infrastructure. You are responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining various systems and servers, ensuring they operate seamlessly. With a firm grasp of both Linux and Windows Server environments, your expertise in system administration empowers you to propose and implement improvements that enhance performance and security. This position requires you to be proactive in troubleshooting issues, documenting processes, and supporting the organization's technical needs. Although you are not required to manage a team, you will collaborate with other IT professionals and departments to deliver exceptional IT services that boost organizational productivity and efficiency. Your knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V will also be invaluable in optimizing resource use and deployment management.
Responsibilities

Administer and maintain Linux and Windows Server environments, ensuring high availability and resilience of systems.
Implement and manage Active Directory environments, including user account management, group policies, and permissions.
Deploy and configure virtualization solutions using VMware and Hyper-V to optimize resource efficiency and disaster recovery.
Develop and execute shell scripts and PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks and streamline operational workflows.
Monitor system performance and conduct regular system backups to safeguard organizational data from loss.
Perform system updates and patches to enhance security measures and maintain compliance with industry standards.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, providing technical support to end-users to resolve inquiries promptly.
Document and maintain comprehensive records of system configurations, procedures, and changes for future reference.
Participate in planning and implementing upgrades and new system installations in line with business objectives.
Ensure adherence to security protocols and policies to protect sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access.
