The Energy Efficiency Specialist will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of energy efficiency measures within development and infrastructure projects. The role involves conducting energy audits, identifying energy-saving opportunities, and advising on policies, technologies, and strategies to improve energy performance. The Specialist will collaborate with government agencies, stakeholders, and project teams to promote sustainable energy solutions and ensure compliance with international standards.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct energy audits and assessments to identify opportunities for improving energy efficiency in infrastructure and development projects.
Develop and implement energy efficiency strategies, including the integration of sustainable energy technologies and best practices.
Provide technical advice on energy-efficient designs, technologies, and systems to optimize resource use and reduce costs.
Analyze energy consumption data, prepare reports, and recommend practical solutions to improve efficiency.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, project teams, and private sector partners, to promote energy efficiency initiatives.
Ensure compliance with international energy standards and environmental regulations.
Support capacity-building programs and deliver training sessions to enhance awareness and implementation of energy efficiency measures.
Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, policy briefs, and project documentation on energy efficiency outcomes and recommendations.

Qualifications and Skills

Educational Background: Master’s degree in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Relevant Expertise:

Proven experience in energy efficiency assessments, audits, and implementing sustainable energy measures.
Knowledge of energy-efficient technologies, building systems, and renewable energy solutions.
Familiarity with international energy standards, policies, and best practices.
