Engineering Manager, AI Reliability

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Engineering Manager to lead a newly established team dedicated to the reliability, robustness, and performance of our AI-driven features and services. This leadership role is critical in ensuring that our AI-powered solutions maintain high precision and consistent performance in production environments. The successful candidate will build and develop a team of engineers and analysts focused on data analysis, debugging, root cause investigation, and addressing edge cases and failure modes within our AI stack. Collaboration will be key, as you will work closely with applied AI teams, product engineering, quality assurance, customer success, and support teams to bridge the gap between real-world usage and AI system performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and grow a high-performing team of engineers and analysts focused on AI system reliability and performance.
- Oversee data-driven analysis and debugging efforts to identify and resolve production issues and edge cases.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with applied AI, product engineering, QA, customer success, and support teams to ensure continuous improvement of AI features.
- Develop processes and tools to monitor, measure, and enhance the robustness and accuracy of AI-powered services.
- Drive initiatives that improve system stability and reduce operational risks associated with AI deployments.
- Mentor and support team members to foster professional growth and technical excellence.
- Translate complex AI performance challenges into actionable engineering solutions.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience managing engineering teams, particularly those focused on AI, machine learning, or data-intensive systems.
- Strong background in debugging, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution within AI or software platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional collaboration involving product, engineering, QA, and customer-facing teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience building scalable processes and tools to monitor AI system performance and reliability.
- Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts and practical challenges in deploying AI features in production environments.
