"Gelcaps (Pakistan) Limited" is a Public Limited Unquoted Company established in the year 1984 at Karachi with the setup of automated plants at Hub Chowki, Baluchistan. "Gelcaps (Pakistan) Limited" is a well-equipped modern manufacturing plant to manufacture Hard Gelatin Capsule shells. This most modern hi-tech factory was set up and brought into operation in the year 1989 in the province of Balochistan at Hub Industrial Trading Estate (HITE), Lasbella, under the technological support and know-how of USA-based R.P.Scherer Corporation, an industrial leader in the manufacturing of hard shell gelatin capsules and other drugs delivery system. The expansion of the project with three more state of art capsules manufacturing machines obtained from renowned supplier M/s Technophar Equipment Services Limited, Canada in the years of 2005 and 2007. These machines have been increased the production capacity from a billion capsules per annum to 2.3 billion capsules per annum. GPL, a pioneering hi-tech venture produces two-piece, Halal gelatin capsules conforming to U.S.P. and R.P. standards. Manufacturing process is supervised by a team of foreign trained staff that ensures 24 hours quality control during production.
