Design and Development: Create mechanical designs and models using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Develop prototypes and specifications for mechanical systems.
Analysis and Testing: Conduct stress, strain, and thermal analysis to ensure that designs meet necessary performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
Problem-Solving: Address technical issues related to machinery, equipment, and manufacturing processes. Provide solutions to improve system functionality and efficiency.
Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are suitable for production and to troubleshoot any issues during the manufacturing process.
Research and Innovation: Stay up to date with new technologies and innovations in mechanical engineering. Apply new ideas to improve product designs and processes.
Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance and inspections on machinery and mechanical systems, ensuring they operate at peak performance.
Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and manuals for designs and projects. Ensure proper documentation of all engineering processes and changes.
Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, designers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure the success of the project or product development.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs and projects comply with industry standards and local regulations, including safety and environmental laws.
