Position Overview:
As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our server infrastructure to guarantee optimal performance, security, and uptime. Your expertise in Linux, networking, cPanel, and server administration will play a crucial role in delivering top-notch hosting services to our clients. You will collaborate closely with our development, support, and operations teams to proactively address technical issues and implement efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, configure, and maintain server environments, including shared hosting, WordPress hosting, Cloud VPS and Dedicated Servers.
- Perform routine server maintenance tasks, such as applying updates, upgrades, and security patches.
- Conduct regular security audits and implement necessary measures to ensure server and data protection.
- Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain a 100% uptime record.
- Monitor server performance, analyze logs, and optimize system resources to enhance overall efficiency.
- Collaborate with the development team to provide technical guidance and support for hosting-related projects.
- Assist the support team in investigating and resolving customer inquiries and concerns.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in hosting and server administration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role in a hosting environment.
- Strong knowledge of Linux server administration (CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar) and command-line proficiency.
- Experience with cPanel/WHM, Plesk, or other web hosting control panels.
- Proficiency in networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, etc.).
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms (VMware, OpenStack, AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Solid understanding of web hosting technologies, including Apache, Nginx, PHP, MySQL, and DNS management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
