M&E Officer

This project focuses on improving Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) facilities, with a particular emphasis on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM), in Mardan, KPK, Pakistan. It aims to upgrade WASH infrastructure in all girls' schools of Tehsil Mardan by installing water filtration plants, drinking water coolers, handwashing stations, and rehabilitating toilets.

Additionally, the Behavior Change Communication Campaign will raise awareness on MHM among adolescent girls, while teachers will receive training in health education, WASH, MHM, and nutrition to become master trainers. Collaborative workshops with government departments, civil society organizations and all relevant stakeholders will disseminate project findings and foster partnerships. This initiative aims to create a healthier school environment and empower adolescent girls, by providing safe and gender-sensitive WASH and MHM facilities in girls schools of Mardan.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, initiate and manage monitoring and evaluation activities as per the organizational rules, policies and procedures
Develop Annual M & E Plan and Frameworks for projects
Conduct M & E activities as per the approved M & E plan and frameworks for the project of HDF.
Assess and report the status of program/project activities and desired results (outputs, outcomes and impacts) quarterly.
Review, adapt, test and modify the existing/available monitoring tools, techniques and methods to suit the specific needs of the Project.
Design and conduct baseline studies for benchmarks and surveys for assessing progress, achievements and satisfaction level of the beneficiaries/stakeholders.
Carry out situational analysis and feasibility studies for potential projects as per the need.
Provide support to the Program Manager in planning, reporting and documenting experiences and lessons learnt.
Keep track of all ongoing/planned program/project activities to ensure consistency with programs/project implementation timelines.
Facilitate implementation reviews and assessment exercises.
Develop and share progress/monitoring/surveys reports as desired.
Plan, design and conduct Research and Impact Studies in project areas as per need/work plan.
13Any other related tasks assigned by the PM.

Minimum Requirement

Qualification: Bachelors in Social Sciences, Biostatistics, Business Administration or data management.
Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in M&E with WASH and Health Programs.

Skills:

Research Methodology and design
Experience in developing participatory M&E systems and analyzing data, using MS Excel and SPSS.
Good understanding of Project management.
Good IT Skills.
Excellent English drafting ability and documentation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong writing skills and ability to synthesize information into clear, concise summaries. Bilingual skills.
Time Management and Organization.
