Import Export Manager

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Import Manager to lead and manage our import operations. The ideal candidate will ensure full compliance with international trade regulations while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and freight forwarders. This role focuses on streamlining the import process to guarantee timely and cost-efficient delivery of goods. A proactive approach to resolving logistical challenges and optimizing import procedures is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all import activities, ensuring strict adherence to customs regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate effectively with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to facilitate timely and accurate delivery of imported products.
- Prepare, review, and verify all import documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
- Stay updated on changes in international trade laws, tariffs, duty rates, and shipping regulations to maintain compliance.
- Address and resolve issues related to import logistics such as customs clearance delays or shipment discrepancies.
- Negotiate shipping terms and freight costs with logistics providers to optimize expenses.
- Maintain comprehensive records of import transactions and generate periodic reports for senior management.
- Identify and implement process improvements aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing costs within the import workflow.
- Ensure accurate classification and valuation of imported goods for customs purposes.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in import management or a related field, with a strong understanding of international trade and customs regulations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders, including suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal departments.
- Proficiency in preparing and verifying import documentation with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with logistics providers to achieve cost savings.
- Strong problem-solving skills to handle import-related challenges and delays.
- Familiarity with trade laws, tariffs, and shipping regulations is essential.
- Competence in maintaining accurate records and reporting to management.

This full-time position is based in Lahore, New Garden Town, with working hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The role requires on-site presence to effectively manage daily import operations.

The salary offered is competitive within the market, ranging from Rs80,000 to Rs100,000 per month.
