The incumbent will be responsible for implementing the Livelihood interventions in the assigned area/s with a livelihood approach of programmes in line with IRP strategy to empower communities in the target areas, especially women and children so that they are more aware of their entitlements including social and economic rights. The incumbent will also support IRP’s advocacy interventions which aim to ensure general communities (especially women and children) in the areas are able to live in an environment in which their rights are protected 

Technical:

  • Conduct broad-based community meetings (BBCM) / stakeholders workshops at community level
  • Conduct needs assessment/baseline/surveys for data collection in the defined project areas.
  • Regular/need-based Contact with the relevant stakeholders (communities, Govt. agencies, and other humanitarian national and international NGOs and INGOs) in the assigned district.
  • Identification and registration of beneficiaries according to set criteria for vocational training and enterprise support and livelihood Activities.
  • Management of beneficiary tracking sheet (MIS, management information system).
  • Technical feasibility for physical infrastructure schemes and verification of beneficiaries.
  • Assist in maintaining close coordination with line Government departments in designing of different livelihood packages according to target areas.
  • Document in a timely manner, all progress, challenges, and learning for future implementation of similar projects and accountability.
  • Conduct regular field visits with 80% time in the field and 20% for reporting.

Operational:

  • Assist the livelihood officer in the preparation of weekly / monthly work plans against PMT (performance-measured time frame) by ensuring the timely completion of assigned tasks in a stipulated time period.
  • Maintenance of hard records that include field visit reports, beneficiary data, assessment records, distribution records & other documentation.
  • Ensure appropriate beneficiary’s data collection & screening prior to making any transaction
  • Participate and assist in the proper filling of forms & formats as per desired standard.
  • Extend support to MEAL / MIS / Communications staff for gathering desired information.
  • Ensure availability of up-to-date info in MIS on a regular basis with the consultation of MIS / M&E.
  • Close coordination with line manager for effective implantation of project activities.

Organizational:

  • Ensure compliance with IR’s policies & procedures in true spirit for effective delivery of services to communities.
  • In-depth understanding of IR values and their demonstration in the field while working with communities.
  • Abide by the IR zero-tolerance policy towards bribery & corruption through sensitization/empowerment of communities on coping mechanisms so that they can raise voices as & when feel inappropriate.
  • Thorough knowledge of IR strategic priorities to ensure effective implementation with future sustainability.
  • Assist in the identification & documentation of organizational successes for showcasing IR work
  • Facilitate communities in adaptation of environment-friendly & cost-effective approaches to meet their current as well as future needs with specific attention to climate change.
  • Focused efforts to be made for mainstreaming of marginalized groups i.e. Persons with disability and old age, minorities, Women & children etc in consultation & implementation of project activities atthe  ground.
  • Strengthen mechanism to Influence the decision makers through communities to pay attention to DRR planning, give voice to suffering and the excluded, highlighting the protection needs of people
  • Participation and facilitation in the implementation of IR seasonal programmes.
