IT Assistant

We are looking for a committed IT Assistant to join our team in Karachi. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing technical support across various IT domains including hardware, software, network infrastructure, and CCTV systems. This position demands both onsite and remote troubleshooting capabilities to ensure uninterrupted IT operations. A strong grasp of network protocols and infrastructure, along with excellent problem-solving skills, is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, Windows operating systems, printers, network connectivity, and CCTV systems.
- Provide Level-1 and Level-2 support for operating system and network-related problems at both onsite and remote locations.
- Install and configure necessary software applications, with a focus on architectural software tools.
- Maintain and monitor the company’s LAN infrastructure to ensure consistent and reliable network connectivity.
- Utilize knowledge of IP networking, traffic engineering, routing protocols, and Quality of Service (QoS) techniques to optimize network performance.
- Manage and track inventory of all IT assets including servers, computers, printers, network switches, and software licenses.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by the IT Manager to support overall IT department goals.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to coordinate with team members and end-users.

Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree (minimum 4 years) is mandatory for this role.
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in technical support within an IT environment.
- Proficiency in TCP/IP protocols, LAN/WAN/VOIP technologies, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory (AD), and CCTV systems.
- Experience working with Ubiquiti Access Points (APs) is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Fluency in English, including reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension.

This is a full-time position based in Karachi, with a monthly salary starting from Rs. 50,000. The role requires physical presence at the workplace to effectively manage and support the IT infrastructure.
