IT Intern

Zindagi Trust, a well-established non-profit organization dedicated to transforming public education and advocating for better education policies in Pakistan, is offering a full-time IT Internship at its Karachi head office. Known for its impactful school reform initiatives and the Paid to Learn program, which provides primary education to working children in urban slums, the organization offers a unique opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in IT operations, asset management, and development tasks. This three-month internship allows interns to work in a mission-driven environment, contributing meaningfully while developing practical IT skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain the IT room by sorting items, separating scrap, and cataloging usable assets.
- Create and regularly update an inventory of mobile phones, tablets, and other hardware devices.
- Assist in tagging IT assets throughout the Head Office to ensure accurate tracking and accountability.
- Support basic inventory and asset management activities to help maintain operational efficiency.
- Participate in small-scale development projects, gaining practical experience in IT development tasks.

Required Qualifications
- Fresh graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of IT hardware components and their functions.
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and actively support various operational tasks within the IT department.
- Basic coding knowledge is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Laravel and PHP frameworks is considered a plus, enhancing the ability to contribute effectively to development projects.
