As a taxi controller, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations of our minicab taxi fleet.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently dispatch minicab taxis, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and prompt response to customer requests.
- Utilize our advanced dispatch software to monitor and manage the fleet, maintaining accurate records of all taxi movements and transactions.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and booking requests in a professional and friendly manner, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
- Coordinate with drivers to ensure they are aware of their assigned routes, pick-up times, and any special instructions.
- Monitor traffic conditions and provide real-time updates to drivers to optimize their routes and minimize delays.
- Maintain regular communication with drivers to ensure they adhere to company policies and deliver a high standard of customer service.
- Assist in resolving any operational issues, such as vehicle breakdowns or accidents, by coordinating with the necessary parties.
- Prepare reports on daily operations, including performance metrics, customer feedback, and driver compliance.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a minicab taxi controller or dispatcher is highly preferred.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the local area and a good understanding of traffic patterns.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Proficient in using computerized dispatch systems and other relevant software applications.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- A customer-centric approach with a strong focus on providing outstanding service.
- Flexibility to work day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
