We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Support Technician to join our team. Key Responsibilities
The IT Support Technician will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining reliable internet connectivity across the office. This includes troubleshooting issues related to slow or disconnected internet services to minimize downtime. A significant part of the role involves managing and configuring Mikrotik routers, including setting up bandwidth control, user authentication, and hotspot configurations to optimize network performance.
In addition to network management, the technician will lay and organize LAN cables across workstations to ensure efficient and tidy infrastructure. They will also install, maintain, and repair computers, printers, and other IT equipment, performing regular hardware checkups to prevent unexpected failures.
Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of IT assets is crucial, as is installing and configuring operating systems and essential office software such as Microsoft Office and web browsers. The technician will provide support for ticketing software and other business applications, assisting users with system logins, email access, and common IT issues.
Daily responsibilities include responding promptly to IT support requests from staff, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network problems efficiently. Accurate documentation of IT issues and their resolutions is required to track recurring problems and inform the IT Manager of major incidents. The technician will assist in preparing backup schedules and ensuring data safety protocols are followed to protect company information.
