Tehsil Level GIS Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced GIS Supervisor to oversee mapping and data collection activities at the tehsil level. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing field mapping operations, ensuring the accuracy and quality of GIS data, and coordinating survey efforts within designated areas. This role requires proficiency in GIS software such as QGIS and ArcGIS, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain high standards in data management.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise GIS-based mapping and data collection activities across multiple tehsils, ensuring that all operations align with project goals and timelines.
- Conduct field mapping exercises personally when necessary, guaranteeing that data collection is thorough, precise, and of the highest quality.
- Utilize GIS software tools, including QGIS and ArcGIS, to perform mapping tasks, analyze spatial data, and support decision-making processes.
- Coordinate and manage survey activities within selected tehsils, liaising with field teams to optimize resource allocation and workflow efficiency.
- Maintain strict accuracy and quality standards in GIS data management, regularly reviewing datasets to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of GIS data into broader project frameworks.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in supervising GIS mapping and data collection activities, preferably at a regional or tehsil level.
- Proficiency in GIS software, specifically QGIS and ArcGIS, with the ability to perform complex mapping and spatial analysis tasks.
- Strong understanding of data quality control processes and techniques to maintain high standards in GIS data management.
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills to manage multiple survey activities simultaneously.
