Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cloud Systems Engineer to join our global team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining and automating the creation of new projects and resources within Google Cloud. This role demands a strong focus on optimizing system performance, securing environments, and managing critical technology components such as MySQL, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB. The successful candidate will also play a key role in planning and executing system and application-level upgrades, ensuring our infrastructure remains robust and scalable.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and automate the provisioning of new projects and resources in Google Cloud, collaborating with a global team to streamline cloud operations.
- Manage, monitor, and optimize the scaling and performance of various environments and technology stacks, including MySQL databases, Elasticsearch clusters, and MongoDB instances.
- Enhance security by automating security protocols and penetration testing processes, while promptly addressing any security alerts or vulnerabilities.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute system and application-level upgrades to maintain and improve environment stability and performance.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into workflows, decision-making, or problem-solving. This includes utilizing AI-powered tools, automating workflows with AI, or analyzing AI-driven insights to improve operational efficiency.
- Strong system administration skills on Linux servers, with hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting Linux-based environments.
- Experience administering systems on cloud computing platforms, demonstrating the ability to manage cloud infrastructure effectively.
- Proficiency in automation frameworks and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Ansible to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development, with a focus on enhancing both technical expertise and personal skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience working specifically with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is highly desirable and considered a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with monitoring, tuning, and optimizing Elasticsearch, MongoDB, MySQL, and NGINX to ensure high availability and performance is a plus.
