Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Payment Solutions Manager to oversee the delivery of customized payment technology projects. This role involves managing end-to-end payment solutions, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while adhering to enterprise project management and technology standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, reliable, and compliant payment systems, including card issuing, merchant acquiring, and third-party processing. This position requires a strong technical background combined with excellent communication and leadership skills to support deployment, integration, and ongoing optimization of payment applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver payment solutions, ensuring projects meet deadlines, scope, and budget constraints.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise project management frameworks and technology standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate the software development of custom payment solutions tailored to client requirements, facilitating smooth deployment with minimal operational disruption.
- Conduct thorough testing and review of end-to-end solutions to guarantee quality, completeness, and functionality.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable technology solutions for card issuing, merchant acquiring, and third-party processing.
- Oversee seamless integration of payment systems with banking platforms and external third-party services, ensuring interoperability and compliance.
- Perform performance optimization and implement best practices to enhance system reliability and scalability.
- Evaluate client business processes, existing infrastructure, and future needs to inform solution design.
- Document detailed client requirements and prepare comprehensive technical and functional specifications.
- Serve as a subject matter expert by advising on application deployment, integration strategies, and necessary modifications.
- Present and demonstrate proposed solutions to clients, ensuring clarity and alignment with their business goals.
- Design and implement application solutions customized to client needs, aligned with the product roadmap.
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot application issues, and perform sanity testing to verify software functionality.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate new features and enhancements seamlessly.
- Customize applications to meet evolving client requirements while maintaining alignment with overall product strategy.
- Deliver end-user training sessions to ensure effective adoption of payment applications.
- Create and maintain up-to-date technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Advise clients and internal teams on industry best practices and emerging technologies in the payments domain.
- Stay current with the latest trends and innovations in payment technologies and application delivery.
- Work collaboratively with product owners, security, compliance teams, developers, and clients to define and implement robust solutions.
- Communicate technical solutions and recommendations clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor team members and share expertise to foster professional growth and knowledge transfer.
- Participate actively in solution reviews and product roadmap discussions to influence future development.
Required Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of ATM/POS switching, card issuance and management, digital channel interfaces, encryption, Hardware Security Modules (HSM), and ISO8583 messaging standards.
- Familiarity with EMV Contact and Contactless technologies, VISA and MasterCard card issuing and acquiring processes, and compliance with payment scheme requirements.
- Experience integrating web services and APIs within payment systems.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end system development lifecycles, including Waterfall, Agile, and modern software development methodologies.
- Proven ability to prepare detailed solution architecture documentation, functional specifications, and technical documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with effective time management and organizational abilities.
- Working knowledge of relevant programming languages and emerging technologies in the payment space.
- Familiarity with cloud services and their application in payment solutions.
