Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Operations Specialist to support the financial activities of our Pakistan and Norway entities. This role involves managing daily financial operations, month-end closings, and intercompany transactions while ensuring compliance with Group Accounting standards. The ideal candidate will play a key role in process improvement initiatives, assist business controllers, and support audit activities. Strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily financial operations and oversee month-end closing activities for both Pakistan and Norway entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage intercompany cost accruals and prepare detailed management accounts to provide clear financial insights.
- Process vendor payments efficiently and assist with Coupa invoicing to maintain smooth procurement-to-payment cycles.
- Collaborate closely with business controllers by assisting with daily tasks and conducting sanity checks on forecasts before quarterly submissions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives aimed at standardizing and streamlining financial workflows across the Group.
- Perform monthly cost accruals in line with guidance from business controllers, maintaining accurate financial records.
- Handle external vendor payments and reconcile pass-through costs to ensure financial integrity.
- Conduct intercompany reconciliations and prepare reports in compliance with Group Accounting guidelines, supporting transparency and accuracy.
- Assist in sourcing processes by verifying the completeness and accuracy of documentation for Purchase Orders within Coupa.
- Manage communications with external auditors, provide necessary information, and assist in coordinating annual audits and quarterly reviews to ensure compliance.
- Provide cross-team support for daily operational tasks, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
- Drive process standardization efforts across the Group and report overall process performance to line management.
- Identify and recommend improvements to existing policies and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are documented and regularly updated to reflect current practices.
- Implement operational efficiencies in daily tasks to optimize resource utilization.
- Manage ad hoc projects and tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting and financial systems, with a strong focus on process improvement and automation.
- Solid knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Accounting Standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
- Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet stringent deadlines.
- Strong time-management skills and a proactive follow-up approach.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently without supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within teams and across departments.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion and FCC systems is considered a plus.
