Job Summary
The Project Manager (PM) will be instrumental in managing all stages of project execution, from initiation through to successful closure. This role requires close collaboration with clients and internal teams to define project scopes, develop data collection plans, and ensure clear alignment on project objectives. The PM will oversee the entire design process, including detailed review of shop drawings and implementation of rigorous internal quality checks. Maintaining accurate cost estimation and budget control is essential. Additionally, the PM will coordinate with procurement teams to prepare comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs) that address cost, sourcing, and specification requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The Project Manager will lead project kickoff meetings to align all stakeholders and establish clear, achievable goals. Working closely with clients and internal teams, the PM will verify and finalize project scopes to ensure mutual understanding and agreement.
Managing the design phase is a critical responsibility, which includes reviewing and approving shop drawings and enforcing internal review procedures to guarantee design quality and compliance with standards. The PM will also be responsible for accurate cost estimation and budget development that reflect project requirements.
Coordination with procurement is vital to generate detailed BOMs, taking into account cost implications and sourcing strategies. Throughout the project lifecycle, the PM will monitor progress, conduct site visits as necessary, and refine project plans based on ongoing insights and challenges.
Cost performance will be closely tracked, with the PM identifying and addressing any deviations promptly. The role involves engaging with environmental consultants and regulatory bodies to secure all necessary clearances, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. Regulatory costs must be incorporated into the budget.
The PM will facilitate formal approval processes with clients, maintaining transparent communication regarding any cost implications. Collaboration with sales, project management, and quality control teams is essential to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Proactive cost management during project execution is required, with corrective actions implemented to mitigate financial risks. The PM will lead project closure activities, including documentation, financial reconciliation, and client satisfaction assessments, ensuring final project costs align with budgetary expectations and contractual agreements.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have proven experience in project management, preferably within a technical or engineering environment. Strong skills in coordinating cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders are essential.
Expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control is required, along with experience in procurement processes and BOM development. Knowledge of environmental and regulatory compliance requirements is important.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills are necessary for effective client and vendor interactions. The ability to conduct site visits and manage on-site project activities is also required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical to success in this role.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Familiarity with quality control processes and standards is preferred. Experience working closely with sales and quality assurance teams will be advantageous. A proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget is highly desirable.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The role is full-time and requires in-person attendance. The monthly salary ranges competitively from Rs150,000 to Rs200,000.
