Job Summary
This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to develop expertise in troubleshooting internet connectivity issues, maintaining network infrastructure, and delivering high-quality technical support to both residential and business customers. Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer support tickets, phone inquiries, and emails related to internet service disruptions or technical issues.
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity problems involving a variety of devices, including routers, modems, fiber optic equipment, DSL, and wireless hardware.
- Utilize remote diagnostic tools and command-line interfaces to analyze network issues and implement solutions efficiently.
- Assist customers in setting up and configuring internet hardware and software to optimize their service experience.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of customer interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions provided.
- Monitor network performance metrics and service availability proactively, identifying and addressing outages or performance bottlenecks before they impact customers.
- Support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure components such as switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Ensure all work complies with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and adheres to company technical standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a closely related discipline.
- Solid understanding of core networking protocols and concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Familiarity with various internet technologies such as fiber optics, DSL, cable internet, and wireless communication systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
