Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated professional to support the establishment and management of a Project Management Office (PMO) responsible for overseeing and coordinating multiple projects. This full-time role involves close collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders, including project teams, vendors, and end-users, to ensure that project requirements are clearly understood and successfully met. The ideal candidate will take ownership of project initiation, implement document control policies, and maintain a thorough understanding of assigned component projects to guarantee quality and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the setup and ongoing management of the PMO to ensure effective oversight of multiple concurrent projects. You will act as a key liaison between project personnel, vendors, and end-users to gather, clarify, and confirm project requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Define project scope and objectives clearly and initiate detailed project plans to guide execution. Implement and maintain document control policies, including the development of standardized templates to streamline documentation processes.
Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive understanding of all assigned component projects. Evaluate the quality and standards of project deliverables to ensure they meet established criteria and organizational expectations.
Regularly monitor project progress, identifying any deviations from plans and making necessary adjustments to keep projects on track. Track and control project expenditures diligently to ensure adherence to approved budgets.
Ensure all projects comply with organizational policies, procedures, and standards. Compile detailed reports on project status, challenges, and risks, communicating these promptly to management for informed decision-making.
Promote adherence to best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), PMO policies, and other relevant guidelines to maintain consistency and quality across all projects.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have proven experience in project management or a related discipline, ideally with exposure to establishing or operating within a PMO environment. Strong communication skills are essential to effectively engage with a broad range of stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to implement and manage document control systems is required. Candidates should be competent in monitoring project progress, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with standards.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to produce clear and comprehensive reports are critical for success in this role. Familiarity with project management best practices and industry standards is also necessary.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of industry-specific standards and quality evaluation techniques will be considered an advantage.
