Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager Accounts will be responsible for performing detailed bank reconciliations to maintain the accuracy and completeness of financial records. Managing the monthly accounts closing process is a critical duty, ensuring that financial reports are prepared timely and with precision. The role also involves conducting vendor reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.

Coordination with zonal accountants is essential to guarantee that all transactions are recorded correctly under the appropriate accounting heads. The Assistant Manager will support the Senior Manager by assisting with day-to-day accounting and financial tasks, ensuring smooth operations within the finance department. Additionally, maintaining compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards is a key part of the role, safeguarding the company’s adherence to statutory requirements.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. A minimum of five years of proven experience in accounting and financial management is required, with preference given to those who have worked in the cargo or logistics industry. A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices is essential for success in this position.

Proficiency in accounting software, along with a solid command of Microsoft Office Suite, is necessary to efficiently manage financial data and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling them to address financial discrepancies and improve processes. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are important, as the role requires collaboration across departments and with external vendors. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team is also critical.
