Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Store Manager to lead the operations of our supermarket. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and executing business strategies that expand our customer base, increase store traffic, and maximize profitability. This position demands a hands-on leader who can inspire and guide the sales team to consistently meet and exceed sales targets, all while maintaining exceptional standards of customer service. Additionally, the Store Manager will oversee daily store administration, ensure compliance with company policies, and uphold high standards of store appearance and merchandising to enhance the overall shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

The Store Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing effective business strategies aimed at growing the customer pool and driving store traffic, ultimately optimizing profitability. A key part of this role involves achieving sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback to the sales team to enhance their performance.

Maintaining excellent customer service is critical to this position, ensuring that customer satisfaction remains high at all times. The Store Manager will also manage all store administration tasks, guaranteeing strict adherence to company policies and procedures.

Maintaining outstanding store conditions and visual merchandising standards is essential to attract and retain customers. The manager will monitor and analyze buying trends, customer preferences, and profitability metrics to inform strategic business decisions.

Innovation is encouraged, and the Store Manager will be expected to propose new ideas to increase market share and maintain a competitive edge in the retail industry. Conducting regular performance appraisals, identifying training needs, and supporting career development for staff members are also key responsibilities.

Addressing and resolving any issues arising from staff or customers, including complaints and grievances, will be handled promptly and professionally. The Store Manager must lead by example, demonstrating professional behavior and consistently upholding high performance standards. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to support smooth store operations.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in supermarket management, with at least 5 years specifically in grocery retail covering both food and non-food products. Completion of education at the Intermediate level is preferred. A valid Covid Vaccination Certificate is mandatory for this role.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs45,000 to Rs55,000. Candidates with a proven track record in retail management and a strong commitment to customer service excellence will be highly regarded.
