Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee the comprehensive management of both physical and digital store operations across multiple categories within a textile organization. This full-time role involves managing inventory for yarn, fabric, finished goods, spare parts, and other materials. The successful candidate will ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintain accurate stock records, and prepare for regular store audits. Key responsibilities include monitoring stock levels, tracking expiry dates and batch details, and managing reorder processes to facilitate timely procurement and delivery, thereby supporting the organization’s operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of all stores, ensuring seamless handling and control of inventory across diverse categories. Enforce compliance with established SOPs to maintain consistency and uphold quality standards throughout the storage and handling processes.
Prepare for and support store audits by maintaining precise, up-to-date stock records and documentation. Regularly analyze supply requirements, manage reorder thresholds, initiate purchase orders, and coordinate closely with procurement teams to guarantee timely delivery of materials.
Investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies, manage obsolete stock items effectively, and coordinate quality control checks to ensure inventory integrity. Implement cost-effective storage solutions while strictly adhering to safety and compliance standards.
Oversee the scrap store operations and recommend improvements to existing SOPs to enhance overall efficiency and workflow. Supervise dispatch functions in collaboration with relevant departments to ensure smooth outbound logistics.
Lead, train, and monitor storekeepers and warehouse staff, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring adherence to operational procedures. Prepare detailed management reports as required to support informed decision-making and maintain operational transparency.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of experience managing inventories or stores within a textile organization at a senior level. Proven expertise in inventory control, stock management, and procurement processes is essential.
Strong leadership skills are required, with demonstrated experience in supervising and training warehouse and store personnel. A thorough understanding of SOP compliance, audit preparation, and quality control procedures is critical.
The ability to analyze supply needs accurately and coordinate effectively with procurement and other departments is necessary. Experience in managing cost-effective storage solutions while ensuring safety compliance is also required.
Preferred Qualifications
A Master’s degree is preferred, reflecting advanced knowledge and expertise relevant to this role.
