Job Summary
Oceanic Group of Companies is seeking a qualified and motivated Engineer – Insurance Brokerage to join their growing team in Karachi. This role involves serving as a technical advisor and risk analyst, providing expert support for insurance placements and evaluations. The primary focus will be on clients operating within the engineering, construction, energy, and industrial sectors. Based in DHA Phase 5, Karachi, this position offers the opportunity to work closely with clients and insurance brokers to ensure precise risk assessment and thorough technical analysis.

Key Responsibilities
As an Engineer – Insurance Brokerage, you will conduct detailed technical evaluations to support insurance underwriting. This includes assessing project risks and accurately valuing assets to inform insurance decisions. You will collaborate with insurance brokers to prepare client presentations, submissions, and comprehensive technical reports that clearly communicate risk profiles and project specifics.

A critical part of your role will be reviewing engineering and construction documents related to insured assets such as infrastructure, machinery, and industrial plants. You will liaise directly with clients to collect necessary technical data and clarify project details, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.

Additionally, you will assist in loss prevention assessments by identifying potential risks and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies. Your expertise will also support claims assessment by providing technical input when required, helping to resolve insurance claims efficiently.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or an equivalent discipline, from a reputable university. A minimum of three years of professional experience in engineering-related roles is essential to effectively perform the technical evaluations and risk analyses required.

Strong analytical skills are necessary to interpret complex technical information accurately. Excellent communication skills are also vital, as the role involves frequent interaction with clients and insurance brokers to explain technical concepts clearly and professionally.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Prior experience in insurance, risk management, or technical advisory roles is highly desirable and will be considered an asset. This position is full-time and requires in-person attendance at the Karachi office located in DHA Phase 5.

The role offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs175,000 to Rs200,000, reflecting the specialized nature of the position and the expertise required.
