Team Leader - Distribution Center

Job Summary
Nestlé Pakistan is looking for a committed Team Leader Operations to manage and optimize inbound and outbound activities at the Kabirwala Factory’s Distribution Center and Raw & Packaging (R&P) materials warehousing. This leadership role requires overseeing daily operations to ensure seamless workflows, timely decision-making, and adherence to operational standards. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational excellence, ensuring compliance, and promoting collaboration among teams to support uninterrupted business operations.

Key Responsibilities
The Team Leader Operations will be responsible for maximizing the efficient use of staff, labor, and material handling equipment (MHE) during shifts. Coordination with transport representatives is essential to confirm vehicle availability and avoid operational delays. The role involves strict implementation of First Entry First Out (FEFO) and status control procedures during the loading and offloading of R&P materials to maintain product integrity.

Timely supply of empty pallets to production must be ensured, with proactive corrective actions taken to prevent shortages. The candidate will provide traceability for R&P materials and finished goods data as required, ensuring all processes comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Upholding Good Warehouse Practices and adhering to the Nestlé Food Safety Management System within warehousing and distribution operations is critical.

Safety and environmental responsibilities include enforcing relevant policies and procedures, maintaining compliance with company rules and regulations, and accepting additional duties as assigned. The Team Leader will oversee the maintenance of the building structure through regular internal and external assessments, including the initiation and authorization of Permits to Work (PTW) when necessary.

Managing the timely return of rejected materials by suppliers within defined timeframes is also part of the role, alongside driving initiatives to reduce warehouse damages and losses. The candidate will lead efforts to reduce energy consumption through various initiatives and manage visits and meetings effectively.

A key aspect of the position is leading Supplier Facing Supply Chain (SFSC) initiatives to build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers. Managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders is essential to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering. A minimum of two years’ experience in Distribution or R&P Warehousing Operations within a Supply Chain environment is required. Proficiency in MS Office applications and SAP MH Modules is essential.

Strong communication and presentation skills are necessary, along with a demonstrated ability to take initiative and successfully implement projects. Experience working with diverse, cross-functional teams to ensure business continuity is important. Knowledge of workplace safety and environmental sustainability practices is required, as is the ability to manage and lead teams, particularly in unionized environments.
