Area Agri. Sourcing Manager

Job Summary
Nestlé Pakistan is looking for a committed and skilled professional based in Punjab to join their team full-time, focusing on the sourcing of fresh milk and agricultural raw materials. The ideal candidate will hold a university degree in Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, or Agronomy and possess 3 to 5 years of experience within the dairy or agronomy sectors. This role is pivotal in achieving business targets by promoting sustainable agricultural practices and implementing good farm management techniques across the region.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead agricultural extension and development initiatives aimed at supporting regional growth. A primary focus will be on sourcing fresh milk and agricultural raw materials efficiently to meet business objectives. Developing and maintaining sustainable direct sourcing channels within Punjab will be essential to ensure a reliable supply chain.

As a subject matter expert, the candidate will advise suppliers on modern farming methods to enhance productivity, quality, and profitability. Close collaboration with the Regional Agri Sourcing Manager is required to help formulate effective sourcing strategies for fresh milk and agricultural raw materials.

The role involves working closely with farmers, government bodies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to foster the development of farmers and livestock in the region. Providing coaching, training, and development support to farmers and Milk Supply Agents (MSAs) will be a key part of the job to improve overall supply chain performance.

Additionally, the candidate will ensure the successful implementation of Nestlé’s initiatives related to sourcing fresh milk and agricultural raw materials, maintaining alignment with company standards and sustainability goals.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a university degree in Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, or Agronomy. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the dairy or agronomy sector is essential.

A strong understanding of rural community dynamics, agricultural development processes, and raw material production systems is required. Candidates should have practical knowledge of fodder production, including different varieties and associated costs.

Familiarity with modern dairy and agricultural farm management practices is necessary to provide effective guidance and support. Additionally, adequate knowledge of risk assessment, food safety, hygiene, quality assurance, and sustainability principles in raw material production is expected.
