Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant with a strong interest in the real estate sector to join our finance team. The successful candidate will manage the financial aspects of our real estate projects and operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely financial reporting, and adherence to accounting standards specific to the real estate industry. This role demands a proactive professional who will help maintain the financial health of our property portfolio while supporting various accounting functions related to real estate transactions.

Key Responsibilities
The Accountant will oversee all accounting activities related to real estate properties, including acquisitions, dispositions, development costs, and lease agreements. Responsibilities include processing and reconciling accounts payable and receivable for real estate transactions such as rental income, property taxes, maintenance expenses, and contractor invoices.

Maintaining the general ledger is a critical part of this role, ensuring accurate classification of real estate assets, liabilities, and equity. The candidate will also conduct bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations across multiple property entities.

Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements is essential, with a focus on real estate-specific reporting such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. The Accountant will track and analyze project costs to ensure budgets are adhered to and identify any variances.

Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes for both real estate portfolios and individual properties is another key function. Additionally, the role involves assisting with tax filings related to real estate operations and participating in internal and external audits concerning real estate financial records.

The candidate will also be expected to identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of real estate accounting practices.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must have proven accounting experience, preferably within the real estate industry. A strong understanding of accounting principles and real estate financial practices is essential.

Proficiency in managing accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations is required. The ability to prepare detailed financial statements and reports is critical.

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking for real estate projects is necessary. Familiarity with tax filings and audit processes related to real estate operations is also important.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and solid analytical and problem-solving abilities. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment is expected.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
This position is based in Wah Cantt. Gpo (47040), and candidates must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work. The role is full-time and requires in-person attendance at the Wah Cantt office.
