Job Summary
We are looking for a committed and experienced Assistant Security Supervisor to join our team at the Port Qasim Factory in Karachi. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and supervising the daily security operations to ensure a safe and secure environment throughout the facility. This position demands a strong background in security and administrative functions, with a preference for candidates who have retired from the army. The role involves direct oversight of security personnel and coordination of security systems to maintain high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Security Supervisor will be responsible for supervising security guards and managing their daily activities to ensure effective security coverage across the facility. This includes overseeing all security office tasks such as accurate reporting, documentation, and maintaining security logs. The role requires controlling access points by monitoring the main gate and other entry locations, verifying and authorizing access for employees, contractors, and visitors in line with established security protocols.
Monitoring and reviewing security logs and reports is essential to promptly identify and address any security concerns or breaches. The supervisor must ensure that all security equipment—including CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control devices—are fully operational at all times. Any malfunctions or issues must be reported immediately to the relevant department.
Additionally, the Assistant Security Supervisor will update daily labor attendance sheets and manage time office activities, reporting directly to the Admin Executive. Continuous monitoring of surveillance feeds is required to detect and respond swiftly to any suspicious activities. Maintaining professional and effective communication with employees, visitors, and law enforcement agencies is also a key part of the role to uphold security standards and foster a secure working environment.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have a minimum education level of Intermediate. A solid track record with at least 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in security and administration is essential. Proficiency in operating security technologies such as CCTV systems, alarm systems, and access control devices is required to effectively manage the security infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with a background as retired army personnel, as this experience is highly valued for its discipline and understanding of security protocols.
