Business Analysis & Controlling Data Visualization Expert

Job Summary
Opella Healthcare is seeking a talented Data Visualization Expert to join its expanding Business Analysis & Controlling team in Hyderabad, India. This full-time, permanent position centers on designing and delivering interactive financial dashboards using Microsoft Power BI. The role involves leveraging data from multiple corporate financial systems accessed through the Snowflake data lake. The successful candidate will work closely with data engineers, ETL developers, and business stakeholders to create standardized, scalable, and high-performance Power BI solutions that address the analytical and strategic needs of both Finance and non-Finance teams.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards for financial and operational reporting, ensuring high usability, consistency, and performance by utilizing data from Snowflake. Translate complex financial datasets into clear, actionable visual insights in collaboration with business stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.

Collaborate with Finance, Digital, and Business teams to gather data visualization requirements and convert them into effective technical BI solutions. Partner with data engineers and ETL developers to optimize data models tailored for reporting purposes.

Act as the global liaison for the Business Analysis & Controlling (BA&C) and Finance Performance Lead (FPL) teams concerning Power BI dashboards and templates. Manage and enhance Power BI user access and security settings to maintain data integrity.

Support end-user training and onboarding by preparing comprehensive documentation, guidelines, and training materials. Serve as a Power User of the Foundation platform, contributing to dashboard governance, best practices, and ongoing performance improvements.

Lead automation efforts for Opella Foundation reporting to minimize manual processes and enable real-time data analysis. Evaluate and implement new Power BI features such as Smart Narrative, AI visuals, Power Automate, and Microsoft CoPilot integration to enhance reporting capabilities.

Ensure the standardization and harmonization of Power BI dashboards across different functions, brands, and geographies. Document dashboards thoroughly using Statement of Work (SoW) and Source to Target Mapping (STTM) formats. Conduct rigorous testing and validation to guarantee data accuracy and alignment with source systems.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Power BI development, especially within finance or corporate reporting environments. Proven expertise in building intuitive, scalable dashboards using financial data from systems like SAP, IBM Cognos TM1, and Snowflake.

Strong collaboration skills demonstrated by working effectively with cross-functional teams, including data engineers and business stakeholders. Excellent communication and storytelling abilities through data visualization.

Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled in problem-solving. Comfortable working in fast-paced, multicultural environments and engaging with senior-level stakeholders. Capable of prioritizing tasks and managing multiple deliverables efficiently.

Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and report/page optimization techniques. Solid understanding of data modeling concepts such as star schema, relationships, and KPIs. Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Familiarity with SAP and IBM Cognos TM1 data structures is a plus. Knowledge of Python, SQL, and other analytics tools is desirable.
