Textile Designer

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and imaginative Textile Designer to develop original and innovative designs across prints, weaves, knits, and embroideries. The ideal candidate will leverage CAD software, including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, to transform creative ideas into tangible designs. This role requires a strong focus on market and trend research to craft seasonal collections that resonate with current industry movements. The Textile Designer will work closely with production teams and clients to ensure design precision, uphold quality standards, and meet delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities
- Design original textile patterns and motifs for a variety of applications such as prints, weaves, knits, and embroidery using CAD tools.
- Conduct comprehensive market and trend research to inspire and shape seasonal collections aligned with industry trends.
- Select appropriate fabrics, textures, and materials that enhance the aesthetic and functionality of fashion or home textile products.
- Develop mood boards, color palettes, and conceptual design presentations to guide the product development process.
- Collaborate with production teams to confirm design feasibility and ensure accurate translation of concepts during sampling and manufacturing.
- Review and approve samples, maintaining stringent quality control and design integrity throughout the production cycle.
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical specifications and digital design files necessary for production.
- Liaise with clients, merchandisers, and buyers to fulfill design briefs and adhere to project deadlines.
- Organize and maintain a digital library of prints, patterns, and reference materials for current and future projects.

Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, tailored for textile design applications.
- Solid understanding of textile materials, including knowledge of fabrics, weaving, knitting, and embroidery techniques.
- Experience in conducting trend research and the ability to translate market insights into compelling design concepts.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively partner with production teams and external clients.
- Keen attention to detail, especially when reviewing samples and ensuring the highest quality standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines within a fast-paced work environment.
