Key Responsibilities
The Finance Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the company’s financial activities. Daily tasks include assisting with accounting operations and maintaining accurate financial records. The role involves processing invoices, managing payroll, handling petty cash, and performing account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy. Additionally, the candidate will help prepare financial reports in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Coordination is a key part of this role, requiring collaboration with banks, suppliers, and various internal departments to facilitate smooth financial transactions. The Finance Assistant will also contribute to BSP (Billing and Settlement Plan) reconciliation and efficiently manage airline and vendor settlements, ensuring timely and accurate financial dealings.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. A solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and proficiency in MS Excel are essential for success in this role. Strong communication and organizational skills are required to manage multiple tasks effectively and liaise with different stakeholders.
An interest in the travel and tourism industry is important, as this will help the candidate align with the company’s core business. The position is based in Islamabad, so applicants should either reside in Islamabad/Rawalpindi or be willing to relocate. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory to ensure clear communication within the company and with external partners.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
While not mandatory, candidates with an MBA in Finance or an M.Com degree will have an advantage. Familiarity with travel agency systems such as Catalyst is also considered a plus, as it will help the candidate adapt quickly to industry-specific processes.
