Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated fresh graduate in Information Technology to join our team as an IT Support Associate. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, this entry-level role is pivotal in delivering first-level support for system-related issues and maintaining the integrity of company-wide IT systems and security. The successful candidate will manage and support critical infrastructure components including LAN, Active Directory, Proxy servers, Email servers, Antivirus solutions, and overall security frameworks. This position offers a valuable opportunity to build foundational IT skills while contributing to the smooth operation and protection of our technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
The IT Support Associate will be responsible for managing workflow and service requests through the client’s call ticketing system to ensure timely and efficient resolution of issues. Daily tasks include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting software and hardware for end-users to maintain productivity. The role involves general desktop support duties assigned by the IT Support team leader, including setting up and configuring network printers to ensure seamless printing services.
Additionally, the candidate will assist in coordinating project activities and support office relocations involving IT equipment. Proactive monitoring and analysis of system reliability and performance are essential to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact operations. The role requires problem-solving skills to develop creative solutions while assessing associated risks and benefits to optimize IT processes.
Compliance is a key aspect of this position. The candidate must ensure adherence to Intellectual Property policies, technical standards, and security controls. Accurate documentation of procedures and processes related to supported systems and applications is required for reference and training purposes. The IT Support Associate will also staff the help desk as needed to provide continuous support coverage.
Staying current with technological advancements and changes in the client’s operating environment is critical to assessing potential impacts on IT operations. The role demands strict compliance with company standards such as ISMS and HIPAA to maintain security and regulatory requirements. Prompt reporting of any security weaknesses or incidents through established channels is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Fresh graduate in Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Basic knowledge of LAN, Active Directory, Proxy servers, Email servers, Antivirus software, and IT security fundamentals.
- Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot both software and hardware issues effectively.
- Familiarity with network printer setup and general desktop support tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach to resolving issues.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks such as ISMS and HIPAA is preferred.
- Excellent documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively under the guidance of a team leader and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
