Job Summary
ONE432 LLC, a Lahore-based social impact fashion company, is seeking a full-time, on-site Accountant to join our dynamic team. Our business model is unique—sharing 50% of profits with artisans and supporting children’s education—demonstrating our commitment to sustainable and ethical fashion. The Accountant will be instrumental in managing daily financial operations, preparing precise financial reports, and ensuring adherence to budgetary goals. This role demands close collaboration with multiple departments to maintain compliance with legal and regulatory standards while supporting strategic financial planning and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
The Accountant will oversee comprehensive accounting functions, including managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining general ledger entries, and performing bank reconciliations. Monthly and annual financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements must be prepared accurately and on time. Monitoring and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy, identify variances, and recommend corrective measures will be a critical part of the role.
Coordination with internal teams is essential to gather relevant financial information and support business decisions. The Accountant will also manage inventory accounting by tracking raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory levels. Ensuring job orders are executed within budget and monitoring any variances is vital.
Additionally, the role involves designing reporting frameworks and implementing ERP systems to generate key financial insights. Compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies must be maintained at all times. The Accountant will assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic planning initiatives. Participation in developing and implementing accounting procedures and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks is also expected.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a CPA designation preferred. Proven experience as an accountant within a garment manufacturing environment is essential. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel is required, and experience with ERP systems is considered an advantage.
A strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls is necessary. The role requires excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting are critical. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are needed to collaborate across departments and engage with external stakeholders. The ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment is also important.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
A Master’s degree is preferred. Candidates with at least three years of experience in garment manufacturing accounting and a minimum of five years’ proficiency in Excel and reporting tools will be given preference. The salary range is competitive, between Rs100,000 and Rs160,000 per month, and will be discussed based on experience.
