Software Engineer - Data Platform

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to design and develop scalable, distributed data systems that support our data-driven products and services. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to build robust data platforms that meet strict performance, reliability, and availability standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, distributed systems and frameworks focused on comprehensive data management.
- Tackle challenges related to fault tolerance and high availability, scale data ingestion pipelines, and improve ETL frameworks while adhering to strict SLAs for performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineers across multiple teams to identify and implement cross-functional features that enhance data-driven product initiatives.
- Engage fully in the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and delivery of data platform solutions.

Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of hands-on software engineering experience with strong backend programming skills, including expertise in multi-threading and concurrency.
- Proficiency in Python and a solid foundation in computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and operating highly scalable software systems and services.
- Familiarity with technologies like Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Airflow, and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with service-oriented architectures and containerized platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a proven track record of delivering creative and effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and clearly articulate complex technical concepts.
