Job Summary
We are looking for a meticulous and skilled Data Entry Officer to support our development team by managing automated data processing tasks. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining backend systems that facilitate large-scale data imports, validation, and precise entry into our databases. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to optimizing records and vendor payments, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance within a construction project environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Data Entry Officer will be responsible for optimizing records and vendor payments to guarantee timely and accurate processing. Monitoring project expenses and financial transactions is essential, with a focus on strict adherence to budget constraints. The role includes processing invoices, purchase orders, and vendor payments efficiently to maintain smooth financial operations.
Tracking and reconciling project expenses is a core duty, covering costs related to materials, labor, and equipment. The officer will prepare monthly financial statements and detailed reports for the Manager of Accounts, providing clear insights into project finances. Managing payroll for construction site personnel is also required, ensuring accuracy and punctuality.
Additionally, the role involves monitoring and reporting on cash flow to effectively manage project funds. Ensuring compliance with construction industry accounting standards and regulatory requirements is critical. Maintaining accurate, organized, and up-to-date financial records completes the scope of responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, with preference given to those who have experience in the construction sector. A minimum of one year of relevant experience in data entry or accounting is required, ideally within construction projects.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are essential for success in this role. Candidates should be proficient in managing financial data, and familiarity with accounting software will be considered an advantage. Additionally, applicants must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Lahore before starting work.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
While not mandatory, experience working specifically within construction accounting will be highly valued. This full-time, in-person position is based in Lahore and offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs40,000 to Rs50,000.
