Power BI Database Developer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Database Developer to join our fully remote team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating insightful dashboards and reports that transform complex datasets into clear, actionable visualizations. These tools will support a wide range of stakeholders by providing timely and relevant data insights.

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards that align closely with business needs. Collaborating with stakeholders is essential to understand their data analysis requirements and translate them into effective visualizations that drive informed decisions. You will manage databases, data collection systems, and analytics workflows to ensure the highest levels of data quality and operational efficiency.

Your role will also involve implementing data transformation and analysis processes within Power BI, integrating Power BI with various databases and applications to ensure seamless data flow. Optimizing data retrieval methods and developing real-time dashboard reports for performance monitoring will be key tasks. Additionally, you will maintain data analytics platforms while upholding stringent data security standards across all systems.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A minimum of three years of professional experience as a Power BI Developer or Data Analyst is required. Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database management systems is essential.

You should have demonstrated expertise in developing and optimizing DAX queries and Power Query scripts. Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail are necessary to succeed in this role. A solid understanding of data integration, data warehousing, and data architecture principles is also required. Effective communication skills are critical, as you will need to simplify complex data concepts for a variety of audiences.
