Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Leather Fashion Designer to craft innovative and stylish leather jackets, bags, belts, and accessories that reflect seasonal trends. The ideal candidate will combine creativity with technical expertise to develop mood boards, sketches, and digital renderings while carefully selecting leather materials and hardware. This role requires close collaboration with production and sampling teams to ensure designs are both fashionable and production-ready. Additionally, the designer will conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of trends and actively contribute to lookbooks, catalog shoots, and product launches.

Key Responsibilities
Design leather jackets, bags, belts, and other accessories inspired by current and upcoming seasonal trends. You will be responsible for creating mood boards, hand sketches, and digital renderings that clearly communicate your design concepts. Selecting the right leather types, textures, finishes, and hardware components is essential to enhance both the quality and aesthetic appeal of the products.

Collaboration with production and sampling teams is a critical part of the role. You will work closely to develop prototypes and ensure that designs meet both functional requirements and manufacturing standards. It is important that all designs are practical, fashionable, and ready for production within established timelines.

Conducting thorough market research and competitor analysis will help you forecast trends and maintain the brand’s relevance in a competitive market. You will also provide creative input for lookbooks, catalog shoots, and product launch events, supporting the marketing team and enhancing brand visibility.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field. You should have 2 to 4 years of professional experience in fashion design, preferably within the leather industry. A strong portfolio showcasing leather apparel and accessory designs is essential to demonstrate your expertise.

In-depth knowledge of leather types, finishes, and manufacturing techniques is required. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or other relevant fashion design software is necessary to produce detailed digital renderings. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong creativity, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent time-management skills to handle multiple projects efficiently.
