Key Responsibilities
The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for researching and identifying effective solutions to both software and hardware issues. You will diagnose and troubleshoot a variety of technical problems, including account setups and network configurations. Engaging customers with targeted questions to quickly pinpoint the root cause of issues is essential.
You will be expected to track and resolve computer system problems within agreed timeframes, guiding clients through step-by-step troubleshooting via phone, email, or chat until their issues are fully resolved. When necessary, unresolved problems should be escalated appropriately to internal teams such as software developers.
Providing prompt and accurate feedback throughout the support process is critical. You will utilize both internal databases and external resources to deliver precise technical solutions. Proper documentation and logging of all technical issues are mandatory to maintain clear records.
Managing multiple open cases simultaneously requires effective prioritization skills. Following up with clients to confirm their IT systems are fully operational after troubleshooting is also part of the role. Additionally, you will prepare accurate and timely reports on support activities and document technical knowledge clearly in notes and manuals.
Maintaining positive and professional relationships with clients is vital, as is communicating fluently in English with an American accent to ensure clarity and professionalism.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have proven experience in technical support or a related field, demonstrating strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for both software and hardware environments. The ability to efficiently diagnose network and account setup issues is essential.
Excellent communication skills in English are required, with a preference for an American accent to facilitate clear client interactions. Candidates should be adept at managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively under pressure. Experience in documenting technical processes and preparing detailed reports is also necessary.
