Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Banking & Deposit Operations Associate to join our Finance team. This role focuses on managing and optimizing banking and deposit-related transactions to ensure accuracy and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling bank deposits, maintaining precise records, and ensuring timely reconciliation of accounts. Additionally, this position requires effective coordination with internal departments and direct communication with financial institutions. Key Responsibilities
The Banking & Deposit Operations Associate will manage all aspects of bank deposit activities, including daily deposits, reconciliations, and meticulous record-keeping. You will be responsible for accurately tracking cash and cheque deposits, ensuring that all transactions are documented and reconciled promptly. Coordination with internal teams and external banking partners is crucial to resolve any discrepancies or inquiries efficiently.
Maintaining updated logs of deposit slips, acknowledgments, and related documentation is a key part of the role. You will assist in preparing deposit summaries and monthly reconciliation reports, which are vital for audit purposes and management review. Monitoring banking activities to detect and prevent fraud or errors is another important responsibility, helping to safeguard company assets.
Supporting financial audits and ensuring compliance with internal controls and bank policies will be part of your day-to-day duties. Clear and professional communication with bank representatives and internal stakeholders is expected to facilitate smooth operations and timely issue resolution.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, or a related discipline. Prior experience in banking operations, cash management, or deposit handling is preferred to ensure familiarity with the processes involved. A strong understanding of bank reconciliation procedures, financial software, and proficiency in MS Excel is necessary.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation are critical for this role. Strong organizational and time management skills will help you manage multiple tasks effectively. Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, is essential to interact with various stakeholders. The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment is also required.
